V letadlech třídy III a IV poskytuje anténa GPS záložní zdroj GPS v případě poruchy primárního navigátoru. Záložní zdroj GPS lze navíc použít pro seřízení a stabilitu AHRS.GPS používá kabel RG-316 o délce 96 palců (8 stop) a obvykle se montuje na sklo. Je rovněž vybaven konektorem BNC.
