The dry run protection SK13 works by controlling the pressure at the pump outlet. The SK13 dry run protection is suitable for self priming, surface pumps and the vast majority of submersible pumps, including spindle submersible pumps up to 1.5kW. A minimum pump outlet pressure of 0.8 bar is required for proper use/operation of the SK13 Dry Run Protection. The SK13 dry run protection is restarted manually. The advantage of the SK13 dry run protection is the easy installation in any (horizontal , or vertical) position. The SK13 dry run protection is supplied with cables with plug and socket. Factory set pressure and pressure at switch on: 0,7 bar (off) 1,2 bar (on). The device - dry run protection SK13 switches off the power supply when it detects a lower pressure in the system than the set pressure, if the pressure in the system exceeds the set pressure, the device switches the power supply on again. The dry run protection can be applied independently or can work in conjunction with another switch. When operating with another switch, it protects the pump from pressure drop or damage caused by dry running. The dry run protection SK13 is equipped with a RESET button, providing conditional/compulsory connection of the pump. The pressure can be regulated (figure B). Screwing the adjusting screw (arrow) increases the set pressure. Turning the set screw (arrow II) decreases the set pressure.
